I got me a new big ol' crock pot and wanna do some cooking in it this weekend. Problem is I only know about three things to cook in it. I can go online and find some but i'd rather hear what's good from friends on the Hoop.

So whats good?

Baby back ribs slow cooked for 8 hours. Cut the racks in sections of 3 ribs, get a big onion and dice it. And your favorite sauce. I like Sweet Baby Ray's. You can never have enough sauce. First put some sauce at the bottom of the pot, then layer some ribs, throw on some of the diced onions then more sauce and keep doing the same thing until you are out of ribs. I usually do two racks. The meat falls right off the bone when done so I actually need a spatula to get them out. And most important..buy some crock pot liners. Saves a ton of time on cleanup.

homemade kahlua pig

4 to 5 pound pork butt or boneless pork shoulder
stab it several times with a sharp knife and rub in plenty of sea salt, use the large kind
put it in the crock pot and fill with water so the pork is nearly covered
use about a full bottle of hickory liquid smoke
cook 4to 6 hours on high, adding salt as needed
it is done when it comes apart
