As Michael Kay said on his show yesterday there are too many ifs with this team. If all the ifs come through they can win a title. If not they probably finish 4th

It's going to be interesting to see how A-Rod does in the clubhouse. I remember reading the Joe Torree autobiography and it was evident that A-Rod is not a very popular guy in the clubhouse. But now that's he older, maybe he can step up and be the leader that can pull the team together.

I don't see how A-Rod could be anything but a pariah in the clubhouse but Jetes, C.C. and co. made a public spectacle of appearing to be squarely in his corner.

My hope, as always, is the Jays or Orioles to do battle with the Evil Empire and Boston.

1. Boston
2. Toronto
3. Tampa Bay
4. New York
5. Baltimore

That's my prediction for the AL East, but I could see Tampa-NY switching spots.

I don't get the Prado deal. Guess I am not supposed to. Phelps is no loss, but Prado is.

Exactly the Prado deal makes no sense.....now we don't have a starting 2nd baseman.

Prado could've been so useful for us because of all the different positions he could play.

Phelps is nothing special as he was basically a long reliever and someone you plug in if one of your starters hit the DL for a month or 2

Not getting how the "yankees r back." A well-rested A-Rod could add a little pop to the heart of their lineup, but then again.....he's no longer hooked on the Boli. I like the Eovaldi swap, but Prado offers more to a team (offense and defense) than Garrett Jones. This trade was essentially eliminating the controversy that would've been Girardi continuing to bat a dismal A-Rod instead of Prado.

lol, me neither, and i am a yankees fan..... i am confused with this trade, who gives up a player who can play any postion on the field, and play it well, who's got a proven stick in the bigs... i know they are not sure what will be with Nova, still have no clue the benefit of a pitcher who basically pitched for a AAA team

Yanks could have a pretty good bullpen, granted relief pitchers are volatile.

Think the Yanks finish in the cellar in the AL East this year.
