I remember the 71' Game of the Century like it was yesterday. I remember everyone that was there, grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins, and where everyone sat in the living room.
I remember that we ate Thanksgiving dinner after the game and where everyone sat at the table. I was 9 y/o at the time and it was just one of those days that stick with you.

It was a heavyweight bout where both fighters gave everything they had. You didn't have to be in Nebraska or Oklahoma, or even be a fan of either team to get a treat that Thanksgiving Day.

Like Barry Switzer says, "the National Title game was played in Norman that day" not on Jan 1st.
