The skins , I thought , were decent with TO ‘sEven if the offense is putrid, the defensive unit's job doesn't change. Turn the ball over or increase the number of three and outs for the opponents, even if that ONLY means more of the same for our offensive unit. That is the point of this stat. They failed!
I'd like to see some numbers stating RK played 80% of almost 1000 snaps. As while it doesn't really crazy, it does seemm crazy that the Skins couldn't or wouldn't give him more rest.
The Skins offense (and I mean its passing game) was putrrid last year. Alex Smith was by every measurable except win/losses terrible. And he was actually regressaingwhen he was injured. In 5 of his last 6 games he pasased for 178 yards or less 5 times. Thd other game his only 300 yard game. Came in that ass whippin we caught from ATL. That game was over by halftime and Smith still batrely managed 306 passing on 45 att.
Look at Smith's numbers the first month of the season. Not great by any means, but at least he was putting up 200+ yards a game at about 8 yrads per att. Then look at his last 6 games. At passing yards, his ypa, if comp%, all of it drops significantly. While he wobbled alonbg averaginvg 1 td pass per game, Colt/JJ gave the Skins as much or more offense as Smith did.
Fuck...just an awful awful trade.
Impossible that this team was as bad as that because actually "we're close." I know because Bruce Allen, that knower of all things, said so!
I agree, brotha. We're close alright. To the edge of an extremely high cliff with a straight drop-off.
How is this guy allowed to be close to a pro football franchise? He shouldn't even be allowed to touch a football at the local sporting good stores!
