With everything up in the air with Aldon Smith, my answer is yes. We've seen what too much weed could do to a guy. Case in point: Charles Rogers. Running a 4.3 40 coming out of college. A few years later his lazy butt could only manage a 4.8.

I think most anyone would trade Aldon for AJ.. although don't get me wrong.. Aldon is a complete beast and one of the top 3 pure pass rushers in the League

I'd do Green for Aldon yes. Maybe now some 49ers fans will realize WHY many in the fanbase wanted Hill or Jeffery or Randle in 2012. Or Patterson or Hopkins in 2013.

You can't go far in the NFL without playmakers on the edges. And if you lose your #1 and #3 WR's for at least half the season and your #2 is 33 years old you better have a GM who can step up and find WR's who can fill in and get the job done. Hoping and praying a bunch of scrub WR's like we have now is going to cut it has proven to be a huge miscalculation by Baalke & Harbaugh. They should of just cut Manningham and signed a WR like Bey he was making plays on the field today while Manningham who knows. Seriously think Baalke is way over rated certainly when it comes to evaluating WR talent (AJ Jenkins). Does Baalke have the smarts to pull off a big deal for a legit #1 or #2 WR? I believe it when I see it happen. And he better do it or this season could be toast very soon.

Green is the 2nd best WR in the league though you could argue he is the best. He doesn't have as good a QB as Calvin does and yet he still seems to catch at least 1 TD pass or go over 100 yards every week.

not fair considering the state of mind I'm in lol... as well as Aldon's admission to rehab....

but just focusing on the field, I would still keep Aldon over Green.... offense CAN BE shifted or creative in terms of getting production but a pass rusher is a pass rusher... scheme or not, if Aldon wants that sack he'll get that sack by his own merrit...

defense still wins championships...
