Yeah, I'm not too big on giving him up either, but that would definately get it done. With Roberts around they probably will avoid looking at him.

Are you thinking about now or the 2013-2014 off-season? If it's now, I would rather start Flaherty at 2B (given his June stats-- Roberts hasn't hit much since coming back) and save the prospects for pitching upgrades, honestly...

I was thinking now, but with Roberts now back maybe its overkill if they did. Still it would be an upgrade from any of them but you'd have to deal one of them back. Hopefully Roberts bat gets gradually better.

these names are no traders for the o's ed rod , tim berry and hader all lhp and pssst duke and buck loves them . one thing about it a team wanting to trade with the o's will want britton he has done nothing but increase his value .

I would not trade for Utley. Been injury prone the past 4 seasons. Is 34 years old. Eligible for free agency at end of season.

Plus, how is Delmonico being blocked? Schoop will be at 2B and Machado will be moving to SS. We will need a 3B in 2015.

No way, why would you want to bring another injury prone 2nd baseman into the fold. As I said in the ongoing thread, Flaherty is a plus defender and his bat has been pretty good since we brought him back up.

Utley is an up and down kind of guy and right now his stock is way down. No way I want him on the Braves. You guys can keep him or deal him off to somebody else, preferably somebody in our division!
