Worst Conference Officials?

After seeing Boise State get "jobbed" time after time after time by the horrendously corrupt officiating crews that the PAC 12 used to employ it had always been my opinion that the PAC 12 had - without a doubt - the very worst officiating crews in the country. And I write that here as someone who used to officiate high school football, baseball and local area softball games when I was much younger.

HOWEVER.............after witnessing the insanely ridiculous officiating crew that "worked" the Marshall vs. Boise State game last night the honor of "WORST OFFICIATING CONFERENCE" has been now passed to Conference U.S.A. That was, without a doubt, the very worst officiating of a college football game that I have ever witnessed. Time after time after time after time that very poor excuse for an officiating crew not only got the call wrong but they repeatedly (and inexplicably) failed to make any call at all when it was obvious that a penalty had occurred. The very worst example of this is when Boise State's true freshman quarterback, Hank Bachmeier, had his helmet ripped off of his head by a marshal defensive lineman, in a severely brutal manner, yet the officiating crew DID NOT STOP THE PLAY at that point. They allowed play to continue and another defensive player from Marshall leveled Bachmaier who was standing there without a helmet (apparently wondering if his head had been removed with his helmet).

So congrats Conference U.S.A......................your officiating crews are now recognized as the very worst in the country. You must be so very proud.

P.S. I can absolutely understand why Boise State's head football coach, Bryan Harsin, lost his cool last night during that game and got in the face of the official nearest to him on the sideline - which resulted in a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty on Harsin. Harsin was wrong to do what he did BUT he was, IMO, absolutely justified in doing what he did. If I had been in his position and witnessed the atrocious officiating in that game last night I likely would have reacted even more poorly than Harsin did. The word that best sums up that officiating crew last night would be INCOMPETENT.

I would also add that I have been watching Boise State football games for 50 years (I'm 65) and I have NEVER witnessed Bryan Harsin react as he did last night.....................NEVER.............................but after seeing what he saw out there on that field last night I really don't blame him for losing his cool.

I watched the Boise game, not even top 5 for Pac refs. I'm guessing Pac refs are better paid then C-USA refs, so even less of a value proposition.

They didn't start shit. You fucking crybabies just let the media lead you around by the nose. One of our guys get penalized for the guns up toward the crowd in Lubbock of a few years ago. You've always risked a flag for targeting your celebration toward the other team or home crowd. It is weak sauce, but it's been that way, at retarded Big 12 officials discretion.

I would add Big 12 officials are part of the reason our conference is a defensive shit show. Offensive holding is illegal to call apparently. But defensive pass interference is strongly encouraged.
