I was wondering if they were going to mention it on the broadcast and I don't think they did, unless they did in the post-game show.

Yeah they never mentioned it. My wife was wondering if I was just talking out of my behind or if I was legit when I told her what they were trying to do. Looks like they did it. Cool.

Oh wow they did do it. Does anyone know when it happened (quarter/time)? It'd be epic if they did it AFTER the delay. For people to stick around and then still rally after a weather delay of 45 minutes.... wowz0rz.

This game wasn't even close to the loudest game i have been at myself so breaking the record was great. If they can hit 136.6 in a game like this then last seasons game they had to hit 140.

Also for those that missed it, the Whistle blower that caused the blocked punt was escorted out of the stadium, 49er fan. When Seattle had the ball he was blowing that thing repeatedly and was warned 3 times, him and his 4 friends all left uhm i mean was ESCORTED out after halftime. I did not get to be on the sideline like i had hoped but at least i got to see the game.

Sucks that there is always someone that can't go to the games, watch, and cheer on their team without being an idiot. Glad it didn't have an affect on the outcome of the game after all.

Between the rain and the obvious noise bonus if the stadium were enclosed...can't believe a retractable roof wasn't installed. I'd imagine fans would need to be given earplugs if a roof was put on your field.

The decision was made to leave it open and have weather games.
It really doesn't rain in Seattle as much as people think and lightning is pretty rare. It's cloudy most of the time and it drizzles a lot but really, the weather in Seattle is pretty mild.

Back when we played in a dome it was way louder. I think that's why it had to be demolished, the 12th man shook the ceiling tiles loose.

Hey Screamin, do you have a link to a verified reference for this. I am searching google, but haven't come up with anything. The only articles reference Seattle fans trying to be loud for the record and insinuating they may have caused the problem, although anyone who knows, would know the fans aren't screaming when we are on offense.

That game was intense. Obviously, I have no voice today, but it's well worth it. We also set a new attendance record at Century Link at 68,338 I believe.

One thing I have to wonder about on that whistle blowing thing is how the officials didn't hear it when everybody from the players and coaches on the field to the guys in the TV booth clearly heard it.

Inside Slant: A whistle from the stands - NFL Nation Blog - ESPN

This acknowledges that there was some whistle, but nothing about finding the guilty party.

There was definitely a whistle, just curious if there is an official report about whether they found that person and either took the whistle, or booted them. I did not hear the whistle after that play.

They DID hear it Dude. The problem is not that they did not hear it, there is no rule in the rule book saying fans can not blow a whistle and he was only escorted out because people were complaining that he was ruining the enjoyment of the people around him. he even had 49er fans telling him to stop for the longest time. It was a Mistake made by the players to stand up and so the play stood. Funny thing was he was copying how the Refs would blow their Whistles and his buddies were telling him do it again do it again. They were having fun, well for a little while at least.

To be honest those guys were not being real dicks about it but they were not listening to the pleading fans around them which were BOTH 49er fans and Seahawks fans. I wish they would have just asked him to give up his whistle and to pick it up after the game. Letting them sit through the rest of the game would have been a better punishment lol.

On another note there was a ton and i mean a TON of 49er fans at the game and when the 12th man got cheering the 49er fans got into it also screaming their heads off. The power of the 12th man just makes everyone go bonkers :laugh3:
