Before the season started the top three favorites to make the superbowl in the AFC (Chiefs, Bills, Bengals)
What odds would you have gotten to predict all three would lose in week 1.

Very low odds for sure. But it is week 1, among them Allen was by far the worst. He shows off in his own Superman bubble and does not play to team strengths, IMO.

Last year the 3 NFC favorites were the Bucs, Packers, and Rams. I think two of them lost and none of them finished over .500.

It might just be as simple as the Lions, Browns, and Jets putting better rosters on the field in week 1. Being bad for a lot of years gives you a ton of roster advantages.

Jets at home beat the Bills last year in a similar game. Not really a shocking outcome, and only the scoring gap of the Browns/Bengals game was a shock, since the Browns have had their number of late. Division games are always a risk. Detroit is expected to continue ascending and the Chiefs were without 2 major players.
