With Bama in trouble for paying players, does Saban go to the NFL? The Steelers?

Bama paid two 5-star recruits, DJ Fluker (a 1st Round pick) and HaHa Clinton-Dix (a projected 1st Round pick). In HaHa's case, it was a Bama coach who paid him (assistant strength coach Corey Harris)

so, what NFL teams go after Saban? and which would he be interested in?

i always though the Steelers would be a good fit for Saban. Saban was born in Fairmont, WV, which is just an hour and a half drive south of Pittsburgh. And Saban went to Kent State where he also began his coaching career, and that is just an hour and 40 min drive NW of Pittsburgh

and Saban has Steelers pedigree:

(Saban) came to Pittsburgh often," Steelers DC George Perles recalled. "He used to come there and look at film." Saban later spent five years on Perles' staff on Michigan State, and Perles was the defensive coordinator of the famed "Steel Curtain" defense. Saban never worked directly for legendary Steelers coach Chuck Noll, but working with Perles was the next-best thing.

the Steelers are currently 0-4 this season, and 8-12 since 2011 (a 40% win pct), and they are used to having legendary coaches:

1969–1991 -- Chuck Noll
1992–2006 -- Bill Cowher

2007–present -- Mike Tomlin
2014-??? -- Nick Saban?

He said he was too old to start over, when asked about the Texas job. I just don't think Nick is an NFL coach - he excels in situations where he's exploiting superior talent, and he knows how to get it at the college level (superior recruiting at a high profile school). He wouldn't have the same type of hands-on control of player acquisition at PIT.

He completely bombed in Miami and the Steelers are not firing Tomlin because of one bad season.

Tomlin is 8-12 in his last 20 games as the Steelers coach (8-8 last season, 0-4 this season)

Saban was 10-10 in his first 20 games as the Dolphins coach (9-7 in 2005, then 1-3 to start 2006)

also, the Steelers will like how in Year Two at Miami, Miami finished with the #4 total D and the #5 scoring D in the NFL. Miami hasn't had a D that good since then. As for offense, it can't get any worse than what the Steelers already have -- they haven't been a Top 20 offense for three years now

So lets forget his SB Championship and all of his winning seasons from when he took over until last year. So he had one avg year and one bad year.... Man obviously he is a terrible coach. Steelers are in salary cap hell and rebuilding on the fly Saban would not do much better.

If the Steelers fired Mike Tomlin, they would need their heads examined.

I've been saying since last offseason I were Jerry Jones I would pull a dump truck full of hundreds in front of Saban's house asking him to coach the cowboys.

They have been better the last two games. I think the steelers start winning games coming up.

Bill Cowher had three straight years that he didn't go to the playoffs (99-01). He left in 2007 on his own terms.

Jerry Jones isn't going to hire someone like Nick Saban. He will continue the coaching carousel of, yes men.

I heard HAHA is dirt poor and the coach bought him a jacket or something because he was cold.

NCAA.... wake the hell up.
