what i find completely ridiculous about the thing is that they have set the date for January 2nd instead of New Years, in fear of losing ratings to football. What the hell is that? It is a fucking monday! Make the game at noon and deal with whatever ratings you get, what is the point of pushing the game to monday when everyone goes back to work? Hell all the good NFL games are on at 1 anyway so start the game at 3:30. this is the dumbest move i have ever heard of.

D, the Birds have a game at home on Jan 1st.(I think) Could you imagine the traffic nightmare that would cause having them both them same day? lol

I'd love to see a "Classic" game, but not with that fucking headache attached to it. lol

I thought this last winter classic they were having issues with the lights at night? So why make it a night game on a monday? Why not move it to new years eve on a saturday at 1 or 330? Another thing that worries me is that cbp isn't really set up for for a rink where there's going to be a good seat. Get your shit together bettman

i was outraged when the pens got a second winter classic before many teams had 1 (like the rangers, wild, and a few other west teams).. so i have to be consistent, other teams should get the opportunity to play in the classic before repeats.. maybe not every nhl team, but more than the what 8? that will have played in one after this one?

i dont like it.. and i also dont like that its in a baseball stadium.. baseball stadiums have less seats and much worse sight-lines

i'll give the nhl a D+ for this one, with the only points coming because i like the flyers, and because i do think moving it off Jan 1 is a good idea, but they picked the wrong date

yes saturday it should have been played. luckily my boss is a huge flyers fan and him and the other bosses are already talking tickets sooo, im ok now. haha

I like the idea of having it where the Phillies rip ass so maybe the Flyers will take a page out of the Phillies book!

I will tailgate but refuse to pay all that money(on top of season tickets) to watch the Flyers play! I will have plenty of brew and plenty of food so Lets Go Flyers!

Giving it to us is stupid yet smart. Smart because they are just rating whores, but stupid because I think it should be Rags/Devs in the Meadowlands. For those who bitch about the East getting them have to realize it is a CLassic game. I really dont think the Ducks or Coyotes fit with that word.

Still happy. Woulda prefered it at the Linc, but hey...my seats kicked major ass at Fenway

maybe go black, with a white nameplate, outlined in orange, with black letters?
