Last year or two, running backs made most of the headlines. Yes, QBs won the Heisman, but the RB was getting more noticed around the country. I did a thread last September of the same topic and many responded with a RB as their answer. What will it be in 2015?

Cannot change the vote.

Even though CFB lost Gordon, Gurley, Abdullah, Coleman, Buck Allen, Duke Johnson, Cobb, Payne, and Ajayi, I still think it will be a RB year.

I'd like to say RB. Long runs are the heart of football, imo.

But I chose QB, because the game is built for quarterbacks today, and they handle the ball much more.

RB year.

CFB lost a lot of talented QBs last year and I am uncertain of many big time name QBs returning? Michigan State QB is one of them.

But loads of talented RBs return this year.

RB for sure. Too many good RB's to not be. Perine, Elliot, Royce, Chubb, Fournette, etc.

College football = RB almost always IMO.

The better teams are almost all running teams. Even the ones people don't really think of as being running teams are actually running teams.

I'd say 3 out 4 last year in the playoffs were running teams/run biased if I had to guess. FSU is the odd one, they seemed to rely on Winston a good bit.

QB. Ohio State, Michigan State, Baylor, TCU, USC, and Clemson. Then you have over hyped Penn State and Cincinnati.

The only RBs I can think if are Pittsburgh Conner, Ohio State Elliot, and Oklahoma Perrine.

It's hard to say. I'd say this year's QB class is leaps and bounds ahead of last year's.
Connor Cook, OSU QB, Trevone Boykin, Hackenberg, Cody Kessler, Jared Goff, Brandon Doughty, Anu Solomon, Dak Prescott, Gunner Kiel, Brad Kaaya, etc. all off the top of my head. There are some major QB talents.

That said, with guys like Elliott, Nick Chubb, Samaje Perine, Derrick Henry, Leonard Fournette, Royce Freeman, James Connor, Donnell Pumphrey, Kareem Hunt, Paul Perkins, Devontae Booker, etc. back, there's a ton of talent. There are also some new guys hitting the scene like Jordan Howard at Indiana replacing Coleman that could breakout.

I think it's safe to say there is a ton of elite talent at both positions this year. However, I think there are a few more elite returning RBs than QBs.

2015 will be the year of Malik Zaire and CJ Prosise behind the best OL in the country. So yes and yes.

How is it not a QB year?

Does anybody remember the RBs from last year's Final 4 Teams other than EE?

I'm sure most can remember at least 3 of the 4, if not all 4.

Name a team worth a shit without a solid QB. (Cat tongue, yep).

Unless you have special talent on both sides of the line, you damn well better have talent behind center to win.

QB will rule the day again. Any thoughts outside of that are simplistic and short of any thinking

TJ Yeldon was drafted 4th in the 2nd round, which is decent for RB's in the NFL where it's a QB league.

De'Anthony Thomas went in the 4th round for Oregon.

So yeah, who cares about the couple of NFL quality RB's that played on 2 of the other teams.

It seems you are trying to insult me, but I can't find anything coherent in what you've said. It's like a bunch of random sentences.

Well played, I literally have nothing I can respond with.

Without looking at stats or Google...

Who were there the starting QBs and RBs?

I bet you get the QB's right, or close. RB's? Probably not.
