Wierd baits

My boys went fishing this morning for catfish in the river near my home. They took a few porkchops with them from last nights meal, to eat when they got hungry. Anyhoo they ran out of bait and used the porkchops. They got 3 nice cats with them. lol maybe they stumbled on to something. What weird baits have you guys caught fish on?

hotdog wieners, bacon, and corn are about the only things out of the norm that I've tried. I have used chicken livers (not really strange though), but you have to wrap them in pantyhose or something similar to keep them on the hook.

I know a guy who swears by peanut butter for cats. Puts it on a torn piece of cloth.

Dial soap, apple slices, liver sprayed with WD40.... pretty much anything with a stink on it.

We spread the livers on a cookie sheet and dry them in the sun for a day or two. Makes them jerky like, and they reconstitute and start to bleed after casting it out.
