The Gophers spent a grand total of 1 week in the top 25 all season, at #24. The Selection committee has them as the #18 overall seed. Conversely, Wisconsin spent the ENTIRE season in the top 25, climbing all the way to number SEVEN and the Selection committee ranked them #29. Whether you agree or disagree with the rankings isn't the point, it's once again to say the polls don't matter.

It just goes to show how unfair the selection committee is. The NCAA basketball tournament is becoming a farce.

Polls always suck and really mean nothing on the court.

Which is why we'ze bout to get into the best 4 weeks of sports on the planet.

lol. Wisconsin gets a seed probably 1 line too low, and now the tournament is a farce. It all balances out, Wisconsin was probably a seed line to high last year.

It's only shown in the politics forum. Over here none of the posts are usually useful so it would have been a waste.:D

What's sad is I know you're joking cause if there's ever a waste of grey matter, it's at the pf.

Hell, they even admitted they had the # 1 seeds locked up a while ago

Just cause the #1 seeds didn't change in the last week or so, doesn't mean they were locked up. They could've been changed up until yesterday, there just wasn't anything that made it so they should've been, according to the committee.

They scrubbed Duke up but couldn't get them past Arizona and Kentucky. I'm sure Kentucky got scrubbed against Gonzaga yesterday, and Arizona against Kentucky.

Can't find the article again but the chairman pretty much said something like that. But in reality I don't care... As long as you come to play and win I don't care if Duke was #64... You win games period..

I'm not sure that has to do with the OP? But I would say Wisconsin is probably slightly better, especially now that Springs is out for the season for Minnesota. But Minnesota has the better resume.

Actually Wisconsin beat Minnesota twice and finished 2nd in the B1G tournament and the Gophers get a #5 seed. Please explain that.

Wisconsin:

This is pretty funny. If Minnesota is crap, then what the hell has Wisconsin done to deserve a seed higher than an 8? Beating Minnesota twice it the BEST thing Wisconsin has going for them. Take that away(or signifying that they are crap) makes Wisconsin, in turn, look just as shitty.
