Why is the 3/29 Reds vs Nats opened postponed ?

They made such a big stink about how ALL teams are playing Opening Day on March 29th

Now here it is 1 day before and it clearly shows the Cincy and washington nats game as posponed till the next day ( March 30th )

Anyone know why ?

Rain in the forecast from what I can tell. MLB builds in the fake off day after opening day to protect money I’d have to assume.

Reds depend on a crowd that comes from fairly long distances. It's always been that sort of fan base. Cincy isn't that big. So to project rain on OD is probably a lot smarter. There are other considerations as well, I suppose. Weather reports are pretty reliable these days, unlike your granny's day. If they see rain coming in the next 24, there's a good chance it's going to rain.

Thursday's season-opener between the Nationals and Reds has been postponed due to rainy conditions in Cincinnati.

The forecast for Thursday looks ugly around Great American Ball Park, so the Reds went ahead and called this one early. It'll be made up Friday, which would have otherwise been an off day for both clubs. Max Scherzer is still lined up to face off against Homer Bailey, with a 4:10 p.m. ET first pitch

Rain is the reason, to bad as it would have been nice to have every team play tomorrow but you can't stop the weather.
