Yes. Instant playing time.If you were a recruit and just saw 10 players leave the program is that somewhere you will want to play?
100/100IMO, it’s unfair to compare Huggy’s recruiting at WVU to his short time at KSU. Prior to getting the KSU job, Bob was out of work. As such, NCAA recruiting rules did not apply to him. He fostered relationships with kids that would not otherwise happen.
But, looking at what he did at Cincy is fair. Make no mistake, he recruited well there. Recruiting services were in their infancy, but he got some true blue chipppers.
He has not been able to recruit top guard talent to Morgantown. JC became a great PG due to hard work. Other PG’s he’s brought to WVU were not true PG’s... exception... Cottrill.
I blame the assistant coaches. They aren’t getting the job done.
Yes. Instant playing time.
Oh-oh.Huggins has always been the old school coach. Kids today are used to participation trophies and coddling.
I said this years ago that Huggs needs to get with the times. Fewer and fewer kids are willing to make the type of commitment that Huggs demands.
