I only care about coaches from the current AQ conferences....AAC, ACC, B1G, Big 12, SEC, and PAC.

My money is on Muschamp from UF.

From listening to certain fan bases I would think;
1) Dana Holgerson WVU
2) Bo Pelini Nebraska

don't think the schools will do it, but that's the vibe I get from their fans.

If UW only manages 7 wins this season, the grumbling will be loud. Less than 7 and I think it's a guarantee Sark will be out of a job. 8+ and he'll be fine. Until next year which is looking to be a tough one...

Any chance we could be seeing a new coach at GTech soon? About time to notch up running a high school offense a fail.

Ferentz @ Iowa is currently 5-4 with @Purdue, Michigan, @Nebraska.
So, he could easily end up 6-6.

Might just be the nudge they need to make a change.
But Iowa is so satisfied with mediocrity, I'm not sure it happens.

Rhoads at Iowa State and London at Virginia are my best guesses

Georgia Tech? They might not be world-beaters, but it's been a LONG time since they had a terrible season. They've been bowling every year for the past 5 or so, if I'm not mistaken. Not bad for a basketball school. Paul Johnson is probably safe; i don't think the school has any designs on ever being a football power again.

I would think it's somebody like Ferentz at Iowa, who has been there a long time but hasn't exactly taken his team to the next level. Maybe some other school is getting impatient with a guy who has been around for 3 or 4 seasons with no improvement and no bowl games. Different teams have different standards. Muschamp, I don't know...he would have to lose the rest of his games, including a bowl, and start next season 0-5. Still a little early in his tenure, I would think.

I've always thought that Paul Rhoads at ISU was a good coach, but it's hard to defend a current 1-7 record.
and thats coming off of 7-6, 5-7, 6-7, and 6-7 he has had no more than 3 conference wins in any season.

Yeah, I think Iowa State could live with those previous seasons, because they know who they are, but 1-7 with TCU, Oklahoma, Kansas and WVU doesn't look promising.

Probably end up with 2-10 record.

Pelini will be fired at the end of the year. We will lose to Michigan, Michigan State, and potentially Ped St, and Iowa.

Only way Pelini saves his job is if he wins 3 out of those 4 imo. And it would be stupid to hold onto him as he has set the bar at nothing more than mediocre at best.

I am expecting him to get the can as well. It apparently just isn't a good fit.

So many candidates in the one and two year range. I guess they get another freebie year.

Gary Patterson at TCU. Does he have enough in the past history bank to remain at TCU? He makes the same amount of money as Bo Pelini, but his team is 10-12 so far in the Big 12. Obviously, the Big 12 is a step up from the Mountain West.

It's more about basic fundamentals than it is 'good fit'. The team always seems like a puzzle. A lack of organization. None of the folks in key positions of his staff had proven experience before they were given their responsibilities. It's not an overnight thing, it's become a yearly trend. That stuff doesn't work anywhere that knows what it's like, and aspires to be at the next level. NU is stuck in neutral.

Have to agree with that. I don't see Nebraska ever being terrible under him...but they are never going to be great either.
