but seriously.. I think they will thin out the wr position and the db position.. I think they will try and retain as many DL as they can or that makes sense given the age and injuries of the starters.. I still find it interesting that ridley wasn't taking first snaps... I know fumbling is a big deal but I really think he is in danger

That philly touchdown showed a bunch og guys that get cut, IMHO.....

Finch and Gray both made statements last night and Ridley fumbled again.

The Pats have 15 defensive linemen on the roster and they're only going to carry 7, maybe 8.

Marcus Cannon was called for three penalties last night, 2 for hands to the face. He may have punched his ticket out.

Buchanon and Belraheaus both looked horrible trying to tackle on the last Philly TD. I think Buchanon was bad in both games so far.

Some teams are starting to make deep cuts already. I was reading somewhere that one has already cut down to 53. I'm not sure what the dates are, but I believe teams have to be down to 63 or 65 or 67 by Tuesday.

I think there will be a few shockers come cut down day.....

I think so too ken.. And agree with cannon.. Though I still root for him cause we shared the same type of cancer.. But that's the homer... Ridley I think is in trouble.. No excuse for the fumbles.. He was warned last year.. And it doesn't seem to improve

The first round of roster cuts does not happen until after the 3rd preseason game or by August 26th at 4 p.m. At this time a roster must be cut down to 75 players. Now yes some teams might make a few cuts before then but because of teams wanting to have bodies to put on the field during preseason to limit risk of injury to their starters and key players most at least keep 85 players until that point. No team would be down to the 53 at this point. It would just be stupid to do so because one of those players gets hurt you are already then down below what you need before the 1st actual regular season game. Plus practices would be that much tougher to execute as you would have to have starters vs. starters. Plus teams are working on forming who is going to go to the practice squad at this time. Need those bodies in practice to make such a decision.


Final roster cuts happen August 30th after the final preseason game. At that point they have to be down to 53 and under the cap for the year with the top 51 plus dead money for the year.

I think Cannon is fine - the penalties will not be called like this regular season.
Finch looked good against 3rd string, but may have made the team on special teams?
White looked good again except when asked to operate in an offense he was unfamiliar with????
Gray made a statement - I agree
Beauharnais and Buchanon looked very beatable, slow, and awkward!
