I'd do that trade in a heartbeat. What a coup that would be.

..........And that's my point, it really is possible that SM will make moves that right now don't appear on anyone's radar, nor sit well with some posters who've become attached to current players because they are among the better players on 3-13 and 4-12 teams.

Not sure I would see trading a 25 year old RB making less than $2 million a year, for a 31 year old making $12 million a year as a GOOD deal.

Oh, I fully expect Scot to do some things that surprise us all. This is a chess match to him. He thinks strategically with an eye a few years down the road. Most of us can't see past the immediate needs we have this year (including me, sometimes). It's been so long since we've had a real gm that we've forgotten how the good ones operate.

Seeing as Morris is probably gone after this year, I'll take 2-3 years of AP. oh, with minnesotas pick, I'm all in for scherff.

Again I will state that I doubt very seriously Scherff gets to Minni's pick. And even IF Morris has a rock star season, it will not cost us on average $12 million a year to resign him.

We cant afford these kinds of numbers on a RB over the next thee years

$13 million
$14 MIllion and $15 million respectively.

Especially NOT on a 31 yer old RB no matter who he is.

I didn't realize he was that expensive. You're right, that would put a big dent in the cap.

For those numbers... let Dallas have him.

I'm not sure why you think Morris is gone. And now way do we take AP and his bloated $13M contract, not knowing if he'll hit that RB wall and/or get suspended for some other off-field stuff.

I guarantee they select a 3 down back within the 1st 4 rounds

Because of the money. We need to invest big in Williams and Kerrigan. Not sure we will be able to afford to re sign him compared to what he will get in FA.

Don't see how they can afford him either seeing as they could come up with less to keep Demarco.

Hey, I thought that DC HAD to spend real money this season in order to avoid another penalty. Interesting that some are able to articulate their desre to redo Williams and Kerrigan's contract yet apparently give no thought to the idea that if my EXAMPLE became reality, a sign and trade, or redoing of his contract. Beyond that the Whole AP thing was an example, I did emphasize EXAMPLE.

Definitely going to happen in this draft, too many good ones to pass them all up.

I think the safest pick would be Cooper.
