Bengals' LB Vontaze Burfict has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

An NFL spokesperson released a statement confirming Burfict's pending four-game suspension. He's still eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games. Cincinnati's director of player personnel Duke Tobin has shown no inclination of releasing Burfict despite this news, going as far to say "[the Bengals] are a player-oriented business and the players are the ones that win or lose for us." Following this new development, Burfict will have missed a total of 10 games due to suspension and played in only 36 of a possible 64 regular season contests since 2014.
