I wasn't nearly as disappointed in Robert's ABs as I was the Sox not scoring a single run after loading the bases with nobody out in the 4th.....or was it the 5th. Can't remember exactly when, but at the time I would have given big odds that we'd end up losing the game.

Oh, and also meant to say with this doubleheader sweep against arguably the best team in the AL, and as msgkings322 pointed out, in their own yahd, is this the springboard we've been waiting for all season to get this team rolling? I sure hope so. I mean, there's still a ton of baseball left, but I thought by now the Twins would fall to earth, yet they're looking like a team that's in the divisional race all year long. We can't let them get too big of a lead.

Not just the emotional center, but right now he's clearly the best player on the team, at least at the present.

He needs to bear down on his fielding. His fielding in 2020 and 2021 was much better than this year so far. He can be a great fielder when he's focused.

Agreed. He still has the knack for those plays-of-week moments, but generally has regressed somewhat with the standard stuff.

I inadvertently made him leave because the main season thread had a fake sponsor, Beggar’s Pizza, which is a joke about how the team serves this brand at the park and how it’s ironic in Chicago that underwhelming pizza is sold at games. Apparently this joke, even pointing it out to him as a joke, made him leave. I must say though, it was pretty lol he thought it was a legit sponsor on a sports board until I clarified.

I remember that incident. However, I didn't realize it made him leave. I also had him on ignore. So, I only saw other people replying to him. That's the most Idseer way for Idseer's tenure here to end. A joke that he failed to understand. Not because he is incapable of understanding. Rather, he just cannot help himself when he thinks he has chance to suck the fun out of everything and tell everyone to get off of his lawn. The old man hated anything that resembled fun.
