Of these 4 low end fantasy starting pitchers, who has the biggest potential in a non keeper league??

1. Tyson Ross
2. Michael Pineda
3. Yordano Ventura
4. Dan Haren

How would you rank them for the 2014 season??

Biggest potential is Ventura, then Pineda, but that is not how I would rank them.

1. Ross
2. Pineda
3. Ventura
4. Haren

I've gambled on Pineda and Ventura in several leagues already. Both nice low risk high reward options IMO. But even if Pineda stays healthy he might not be a great option when pitching at home, lot of fly balls given up if I remember right. Been awhile, so I might be off. Dan Haren used to be a favorite if mine, but I think that ship has sailed.

I'd take the potential of Ventura first, the promise of Pineda second, Ross third and Haren fourth.

Even though Ross MIGHT be the more stable choice, I'm not really buying a repeat of last year when virtually every number he threw up there was quite a bit out of line with his previous three years. Could he have figured something out? Sure, but it's far more likely it was simply a Fluker year, IMHO. Besides, pitching for SD, I'm not seeing a big potential for wins, whereas the Yanks and even the Royals should have quite a few shots at W's for their rotations.

Yeah I'd take Ventura first. I tend to stay away from Yankee pitchers for that very reason. Sure, it's not a guarantee to have a high scoring game in Yankee stadium, but I don't like taking the chances.
