Im going with the Sun Bowl: Miami vs WAZZU. Miami's fan and alumni base is fucking piss poor and never sellout home games, so you know nobody is going to make the 2000 mile trip to El Paso. Doubtful WAZZU will sell their allotment of tickets as well, seeing how Pullman is about 1700 miles away from El Paso. I say 25K, max will be in attendance....

But... But... the Pinstripe Bowl has Duke vs Indiana in New York City!

Oooo, another good one. I'm willing to bet there are a lot of rich Duke alumni living in and around NYC. This one might draw 40K....

My initial reaction was the Pinstripe Bowl, as well. However, NYC is a hell of a lot better draw for fans than El Paso, and both Duke and Indiana probably have more than enough rich businessmen alumni in NYC who can afford the cheap ticket price (I'm assuming).

Good point. I picked the Sun Bowl b/c El Paso sucks and it's a major travel distance for both schools. Plus throw in the fact Miami fans don't even support the canes at home, so do you really think they are going 2000 miles out of the way to support them in a bowl game? Fuck no!!!!

This is easy. It is a the Vegas bowl featuring BYU and Utah. The Holy War part 2 will take place in Vegas, the irony is fantastic. Are there any 2 fan bases that could appreciate a trip to Vegas less than those 2?

That bowl game played @ Sam Boyd Stadium sold out in like an hour.

The Sun Bowl NEVER does well. Don't remember the last time 1/3 of the stadium was filled.

Indiana hasn't been to a bowl in awhile and NYC is a lot better vacation destination than El Paso... lol

Indiana hasn't been to a bowl game in forever, their fans will travel especially to NYC.

That Wazzu - Miami game is going to have pathetic attendance.

As usual, perception isn't reality. Just because UTEP doesn't have great attendance, doesn't mean the Sun Bowl game doesn't. This is just the last 5 Sun Bowl games. The city supports the Sun Bowl even if the teams don't travel that well. (Disclaimer: The 2011 game is skewed because of the # of Catholics in El Paso.)

2014 Ariz St 36 Duke 31 Att- 47,809
2013 UCLA 42, Va Tech 12 Att 47,912
2012 GT 21, USC 7 Att 48,123
2011 ND 33, Miami 17 Att 54,201
2010 OU 21, Stanford 27 Att 53,713

Seating capacity is only 51,500 but have sold many standing room only tickets when a big draw is there like ND and OU. Hell, they even sold it out once for a damned Dallas Cowboy controlled inter squad scrimmage! Dumb ass El Pasoans love the Cowgirls.

Want to know another one. Research where El Paso ranks in safe cities.

Thanks for the research, I misspoke. Is there another bowl game played there between two smaller conferences? The New Mexico Bowl or something? That game is always played between non-power 5 teams and has an awful turnout.
