My passion is bass fishing using top water lures with the Moss Boss as my favorite. That lure in the land of cheese is a killer.

Favorite thing to catch is a monster Brown Trout, on a hopper, fly-fishing.

Bit of a trout-whore in general.

Catch 10 to 30lb pike about 200 yards from my house.

Used to fish a ton of bass when I lived further south...not a many places nearby for them now.

Lived on the coast for a little bit and did some salmon and steelhead fishing, even a few sturgeon. (smalls guys...bout 3 feet long)

I enjoy it all:happy: Where ya live dictates a little, fo sho.

Small mouth, blue gill, and northern pike. Fishing is normally only half the adventure though, always go remote camping or to remote places with good fishing.

I live near the St. Lawrence River where it leaves Lake Ontario. I do a bunch of small and large mouth bass fishing. But the season doesn't open until the 3rd week in june. Early spring I do some bullhead, pearch and crappy fishing to get rid of cabin fever.

But get off on the Bass...especially the small mouth bass.

I like fishin for anything (y'all have seen my pics around here). Depends on what's biting, I guess. I love largemouth fishin. I used to fish the BFL tourneys. I like catfishin, bream, crappie, flounder, trout, spot tails, Kings, mahi, so on and so on.

And what's this Moss Boss top water bait? Is it like a scum frog?

There's an example, I use'em to scare northerns out off of shallow weed choked shores, and when that thing lands the wrong way, you drag half the lake in with it. :L

28 lb. pike.....200 yards from my house.

Well I might have that beat, but I can't confirm it. I was on a fly out in remote Canada and released it. No way to keep it, had to eat anything I kept right away, no freezer. I got a 20 once and this thing dwarfed it.

The Mississippi river pike in the Winona area have a double Y bone. Only place I know of where that is the case. Bitch cleaning you basically get 4 long filet pieces. No difference in taste or appearance.

I prefer catfishing and i also love fishing for bass, but my favorite fish to catch is alligator gar. Despite their reputation as trashy fish, I think they are awesome fish to catch, with a fight comparable to a shark. Down here in Texas, these fish get average around 6-7 feet long and weigh over 200lbs. Believe it or not, we have some that are even bigger than that (maybe up to 300lbs). I landed one back in May that was 5'7'' and was over 100lbs

All the local stuff. Bass on cranks, jigs and just about anything else. Crappie, and other panfish, can get pretty big around here. Walleye are a little less common but be caught in my closest lake, especially with leaches. And we have "sub-lake" that gets stocked with trout. I've always had good luck throwing rooster tails with the trout. The only local favorite I don't fish for much is catfish.... don't really know why.

To me, I LOVE night crappie fishing. Easy and relaxing, can get pretty good action when you have your sweet-spot, can be done while pretty drunk. Doesn't give the fight that I like, but on a flimsy little rod can give a good initial kick.

I enjoy any fishing, but give me night crappie fishing under a dock light and I'm all set.
