I actually used to do this every week on CBS, they picked out 20-25 games a week and folks participated and someone tracked who won and such...maybe we just do the B10 and see who can win. Week 1 pickem already done here, just need a volunteer to track a bit

Indiana State is going to give IU all they can handle. Sycamores were really solid last year and return everyone. Cal is going to be WAYYYY down but its at Cal so maybe but NW is really good. Syracuse and Cincinnati have excellent shots at winning and Iowa better figure out how to stop a mobile QB of Jordan Lynch is going to fuck us all night ( kid shredded us last year with 0 experience, now he has a full year under his belt. We better come fucking ready or its going to be ugly)

I was more impressed with Northern Illinois on the defensive side of the ball than the offensive. Lynch had 54yrds passing and 119yrds rushing, with 60+ being on one run and led his team to only 17pts. NIU lost most of their key players on defense. Iowa will win this one going away. I'm going to go with Purdue as the team that will get beat week 1.

psu-su is a fair prediction, but cuse isnt exactly a shabby team. they went .7-5 against BCS teams last year and won a share of the BE title and always seems to play their best against their toughest opponents. id say this is at best a toss up and the best chance for a b10 team to get knocked off week 1.

iowa-NIU id say iowa has the edge, but id say this is gonna be a pretty evenly matched game as well.

and lemme get this straight.....

-you are picking a cal team that finished 3-9 over a 10-3 NW

-you are picking a unlv team (that finished 2-11) over a minn team that almost beat TX in a bowl game

question: do you watch football?

Not that big of a reach based on recent B1G west coast road performances. Cal just about beat an undefeated OSU team last season.

agree, week 1 on the road on the west coast, 2 hour time difference and just having been back to a real school schedule...not that I do not think NW can win there, just not easy. Til last year NW had never won a bowl game, they are 1-10 now I think it is.

Aaron, I don't know all those stats that MSU did, I would just do it here in our group with wins and losses, he had some crazy stat formulas and perfect week blah blah blah, plus he did 25 games, I have to find the time as well, which as you know is harder than it seems with kids and all.

I am already committed to taking the kids to a concert on Sept 14th so will be DVRing the ISU game. Imagine Dragons...plus we get to go backstage.

Brasky, no that was just the list of teams to call out who will lose week one...I don't think anyone across the country would pick Illinois at a 1 spot in the B10 unless it was followed by a 0, 1 or 2

We have a weekly pickem on the Nebraska board that we will be starting up here in a couple weeks with around 20 games a week and I am sure you can join as it is open to anyone.
