Main two things I think we need to work on for the future is endurance and the secondary. While the defense is much improved over last season's, there still is quite a bit of work that needs to be done with the secondary.
I liked that there weren't a lot of penalties for us (just the one PI because the guy got beat). Also, even though it wasn't against their first team, our offense finally scored a touchdown, albeit in garbage time. Shows a lot of character that these guys won't give up even when they're down big and play until the final whistle.
This game was about how I thought it'd play out. I thought our offense would've been more productive but didn't capitalize on most of what few opportunities that Alabama gave us. That's a credit to their defense as they played up to their reputation I thought and just dominated the line of scrimmage all game. But overall, nothing to frown upon as Western Kentucky was going into one of the toughest stadiums to play in in the country and held their own against probably one of the, if not the best team in college football until late in the 3rd quarter.
