After the Bye Week 7, the Rams are at home for a divisional game against the Forty-Niners. There are seven straight wins the Niners have over the Rams going into this contest. McVay has to get some craziness out of his head about his friend Kyle Shanahan and learn that he can beat his friend in games and still be friends. WE shall see if McVay makes any promised changes to his approach otherwise the string will grow to eight.

Now we have to defend not only that arrogant loudmouth Deebo Samuels, McCafferty will be in the back-field. Better brush-up on tackling and stopping the run this week.

Wagner and Jones are going to be busy on Sunday.

Yeah, McCaffrey fits Shanny's system really well, as well as Jimmy G's style of play with his pass catching ability.

I am surprised they went so hard after him though, since Wilson is more than capable of holding the fort down until they got Mitchell back. But maybe Mitchell's injury is more than originally reported.

Otherwise, San Fran is going to have quite the log jam at RB with CMC, Mitchell, Wilson, the rookie Price, not to mention what Samuel does out of the backfield.

Trade just didn't make alot of sense other than to keep him from joining the Rams. That's the only thing that really makes sense. And if that was the driving force, it was a costly trade indeed. Because, as great as CMC is, Mitchell was doing all of that last season already.

Well here is another developing scenario and this one is with Cleveland. The Rams are talking with Cleveland to possibly move Akers and a 5th and 6th round pick to Cleveland for Kareem Hunt and none other than John Johnson III. Is another reunion in the plans??

Also, it is clear the Rams want to pick-up an Edge by the trade deadline and the two most on the radar are Chubb from the Broncos and another reunion maybe with Robert Quinn. Could be an interesting next 10 days or so.

I would prefer they traded for Johnson.

Not only is he younger, but since both RB's are FA's after the season, Johnson would be cheaper to retain than Hunt will be.

If they trade for Hunt, it will just be another season rental ala Michel and Miller.

Speaking of Michel, if they had just kept him, they wouldn't be needing to trade for a RB as he was by far their best RB last season.

Instead of focusing in on getting a decent running back like Kareem Hunt or D'Earnest Johnson (who are available and they won't use anyways) or even an Edge like Chubb with the Broncos or another O-lineman, they go after a has-been receiver like Cooks giving-up draft capital and more salary. The Rams offered Carolina two Number Ones to the Panthers ('24 and '25) for Brian Burns but that wasn't good enough due in part to the fact that the Panthers are partially changing their minds and/or they told the Rams they want a 2023 and 2024 Number One picks and possibly even as high has 4 Number Ones which the Rams have neither.

Looks like OBJ isn't going to make a return this year because his knee is not completely healed and the medical community said no. McShit-fer-Brains has not played McCutcheon or even Atwell at all. What is Cooks going to do that McCutcheon or Atwell can't do? They won't have OBJ this year either but yet McShit-fer-Brains thinks he can get back to the Snooperbowl with Cooks when he doesn't even play the players he already has.

McShit-fer-Brains is delusional because his team is nowhere the teams in power ratings of say a Bills or even the Iggles. The Rams can't trade Akers because nobody wants him, so they are going to John Wall him and probably will let him walk for nothing after the season.

Now they are offering Rapp, Burgess, and David Long Jr. as trade bait to get somebody to take Akers but nobody is biting. McShit-fer-Brains ain't going back to the Snooperbowl this year when he can't beat the Forty-Niners and teams like the Bills (Chiefs) and the Iggles who probably WILL be in the Snooperbowl.
