LSU will travel to Southeatern this week. The Lions are not ranked but one of four solid baseball programs in Louisiana. LSU will toss their former Sunday starter Cody Glenn, a lefty.

LSU hosts a "round robin" tourney of sorts this weekend with Virginia Tech, Toledo, and Texas Southern all coming play ball in Alex Box.

The Longhorns(2-2) host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi(2-2) in the mid-week game and UR Stanford(1-2 after hosting #15 Rice in the opening weekend) for a 3 game series in the weekend.

How is the mid-week looking fellas? LSU takes on Southeastern tonight in Hammond, Louisiana. Should be a good test for the Tigers early, the Lions are a team not to be under-estimated. The Tigers will throw Cody Glenn, the southpaw who was the Sunday starter for the Tigers last year. Kid can chunk the rock, but the Tigers bats could use a big game.

Bats are always usually a little delayed. Have to remember how to approach each at bat. LSU came to the plate swinging first pitch this past weekend. Approach is everything in an at bat, until each hitter gets his approach down, it can be rough on offensive production.

We have a big series next week against USC. Our yearly 3 game set against them. Play 1 @ their place, then one on a neutral field, and the last one at home.


We have Maine Today and the rest of the weekend. I think we beat them today.

Yea, I say just leave the rankings thread and daily schedule thread stickied. The conference threads will stick around the top because no one is going to make single game or series threads for the most part.

Maybe when conference play begins and things get down to nitty gritty, but definitely when Regionals, Super Regionals, and the CWS are here.

Here we go!! The Tigers and Dirtpeckers about to get underway in Columbia.

The bad guys are up 1-0 at the end of 1. We gave them a base runner with 2 outs on a "hit" that dribbled off the bat in front of the catcher. THe C missed the bare hand grab and a chance to end the inning. THe next batter took a pitch in the dirt and the runner advanced on a ball that layed in the dirt right in front of the catcher. The batter then ripped one up the middle driving in the run.

Now we've given them another baserunner off an error. This defense is looking horrid.
