This sums up about how I feel right now as well, actually.

I didn't have Ohio St ranked in my preseason power poll which I'm using until week 4 to form my rankings. I know, retarded right? But I hate making rankings until week 4 so this is easier...

Outliers are even good, in that the groupthink created by pressure to make your rankings look like others' rankings is precisely what causes many teams to be drastically and inaccurately overrated early in the season.

Outliers aren't the problem; groupthink is the problem.

Like another poster said, groupthink is not good. I made my preseason Top25 and that's what I have been going off of. I'm not a sack sucker. I can think for myself. I don't need the media to tell me who is good and who isn't. I observe it myself.

Sure my rankings may look funny, but why fret about it? Just make your own damn poll if you know everything. It's only week 2.
