Carol is pretty animated at times! He's like a petulant child who didn't get any ice cream at the birthday party!

I miss the days of Jim Habaugh picking on him. Pete will never change as he's a 70 year old child.

He'a no all-pro, but he is pretty strong in coverage. He was actually the FS mostly on Thursday over a mega-rangey guy like Ron Parker if that gives you a clue.

He had a poor rating according to pro football focus vs the Pats. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and let him get comfortable starting a few more games though

Always funny to read these early on. I liked that the Browns played a tight one against the Steelers (who happen to be the top team in the ranking!!) and SF gets blown out and yet they leap frog the Browns:doh:

How the Chiefs are not number 1 after curb stomping the Pats in Gillette is beyond me

power rankings are worthless

Won't even bother clicking the link. It's the Chiefs and then everyone else so far.

I can see someone dinging the Chiefs for losing Berry but I'd probably rank the teams after a mostly meaningless week 1:

1. Chiefs
2. Packers
3. Raiders
4. Cowboys
5. Falcons
6. Steelers
7. Patriots
8. Ravens
9. Vikings
10. Panthers
11. Eagles
12. Seahawks
13. Broncos
14. Jaguars
15. Lions

Seriously, how in the hell are the Steelers ranked number one in the power rankings? They barely beat the Browns. If not for a drop, the Browns could've won.

I'm not arguing for the Chiefs to be number one. I could even keep the Patriots as number one and say they will bounce back. But I seriously don't understand this.

I am a Utes fan. Utah barely beat BYU. So does that make the Utes the number one team in the nation? BYU is about as bad as the Browns are.

Anyway, I don't take the cop out of saying that is an overreaction post. Either rank them for reals or don't. I don't know how 80 "experts" could rate the Steelers here based upon anything unless they were told to specifically to overreact. And if so, would they be told to do this every week? Are they supposed to slowly not overreact over a span of 17 weeks?

Reminds me of The Office when Michael says that one day people will estimate him instead of underestimate.

Meaningless this early but surprised the Pats are that high in the polls after shitting the bed like they did.

The jury is still out on the Packer D line pressure keeping Wilson under pressure all game because I mean it was the Seattle O line they were against so time will tell.

Beats me. My Steelers don't belong on top of a power ranking list at this point.

That was a win, but was not inspiring.

The Chiefs should certainly be above us.

Love how the Broncos drop 6 spots after a win. They had the game in hand and just had a couple of bad turnovers that let an inferior team back into the game. Turnovers are the great equalizer in the NFL. This is why though I guess you got to love power rankings early on.

Yeah, I am probably as biting and harsh on the Broncos as anyone this year but that doesn't logically follow.

Thankfully power rankings for the NFL mean jack squat unlike for college football where that kind of crap matters.
