Collectively, they drag the curve down a lot, so some of those are above average

Parity is real! And interestingly, the passing game has gotten more conservative too, which is why scoring is down.
I want more defense ! It’s good to see some teams doing good defensively…

The article does reference the increased use of the run and short passes to deal with Cover 2. Not KC, because they have the best QB, but most others.
This is basically the old 49ers ball control offense that Montana ran under Bill Walsh, isn't it? Short passes, slants, runs, occasional long pass

the real secret is the refs will keep the scores close so people dont check out.
Apparently the favorites are 14-31 against the spread in games where Cheffers was the ref. Normally that number is pretty close to .500
