This was a no brainer move here. Smart choice for Wanny as he clearly is not ready. Now if we find a way to replace 17 points a game a shooting guard, we will be fine. I now see Henderson becoming a prolific scorer and he will get his 18-20 a game if he can stay healthy.

I know this situation is different…. losing Harris and his 17 pts before graduation. But, it isn't like WVU hasn't lost prolific scorers to graduation in the past. The void gets filled.

Looks like Huggs is going the JUCO route to find some immediate scoring help. He offered a kid yesterday who averaged 23 pts/gm this year.

Bottom line, WVU is adding at least 4 new players to the mix next year. Macon and Holton are expected to produce. I have read from many a source who claims Holton is the real deal. Certainly, WVU is expected to score more points from the 4 and 5 next season.

The points will come from a different mix of players next season.

And, if the defense improves… then something special can happen.

This year's defense gave up over 73 pts/gm for the season, and over 78/gm in Big 12 conference play.

That is unacceptable….

The work I'm going to put in this offseason is scary. I want to be a 2015 NBA lottery pick!

My apologies, I had the wrong JUCO guard. Tarik Phillips was offered last night… not Dunan.

Tarik played for Independence CC in Kansas. He averaged 18.7 pts, 6.7 REB and 4.7 assists this season. He also has a reputation for outstanding defense. He has 3 years of eligibility.

Ill sacrifice a few ppg for that, we can make up the points elsewhere.

Just watching the Tournament it was just so glaring what Wv is missing...they need a shot blocking presence in the middle and a bull dog defensive guard at the point...................

....Two forwards who can create their own shot and shut down the other teams top scorer, and a shooting guard that never misses and creates 5 turnovers per game.
