It would be nice to build off our momentum from the last series. The Good news we are very lucky to miss Chris Sale in this series. I dont think 3 out of 4 is unreasonable. Would be nice to head into the Toronto series on a good note

Avoid Abreu and our pitching should be able to handle the Sox like usual. Missing Sale is a big break but Quintana is no slouch. Hopefully the bats can keep some momentum going. Seager, Ackley, and Taylor have been hitting well. I'd like to see Cano start to do some damage coming down the stretch rather than bouncing singles up the middle.

Ackley is keeping Jack from going back to being a glorified scout as he should be.

WTF is going on with Ackley? I know he's shown flashes but I can never remember him playing like this.

Maybe he FINALLY got it!

I still HATE the overgrown beard, but I have ALWAYS said Ackley is a keeper, now maybe I said he should be sent down, but never have I said he is to go.

Dustin, Please stay hot. I believe in you but also realize you have some bbbaaaad streaks. Did I mention I dislike your beard. C'mon Dustin, just keep swinging pretty pal/\.

From an original fan, C'mon Dustin, keep it going. And Bring Saunders along for the ride.:suds:

Man I love when Jay's in the booth. Watching the replay and Endy launches his homer and Jay says "Get up there and touch someone!" Haha, what?

I don't know if Ackley's figured it out or if this is just an extended hot streak, but I'm going enjoying it and will continue to enjoy it for as long as it lasts. At this point, it'll probably take an extended period (meaning longer than just through the end of this season) of good hitting for most people to believe that he's figured it out, but he's been one of the hottest hitters in the league since July 1st in a lineup that can use all the hot hitters it can get, so I'm not going to worry about him proving it's not a fluke next year.

All I know is that his wrists are ridiculous. He holds on to until the pitch is right on him and still gets that bat through the zone. I know that his career says that this is nothing but a fluke but it isn't like he's just swinging blindly. He's actually making the most of his athletic talent.

Watch his swings. For so long he was falling backwards toward 1st each and every time he swung, and even when he took a pitch he would be backing out early. Right now he's striding straight forward and staying very balanced which lets him reach out and cover the pitches outside, driving them like he did his rookie year.

It's a good sign. We'll just have to see how long he can keep with that approach without falling back into bad habits.

Down 1-0 in the 4th and this game might be over already. Prove me wrong Mariners!

(Me saying that has worked a few times in the past)

Early on I said that Zunino looks like he could have 25 + HR power, looks like he could hit 25 this year if he keeps it up. In addition to leading the Mariners in HRs, he has had quite a few balls hit to the warning track at Safeco that didn't go out.

I want to believe that Ackley will continue hitting like this, but it is worth remembering that last year Ackley hit .290/.360/.414 from July 2 to Sept 29. He followed that up by hitting .214/.273/.329 in his first 74 games of 2014.

Ackley seems to go hot and cold.

As long as he keeps going to the same sports psychologist that Roy Hobbs went to there isn't any reason why he can't at least be better than the first part of his career. It appeared that he started off the season with confidence but then once he started struggled he reverted back to what has made him struggle so much.

Zunino is 2 HR away from holding the Mariners record for HR by a catcher by himself.... in his 1st full year, 2 years removed from college.

Can we officially count him as a rare Mariners prospect who has exceeded expectations to this point? With the defense he plays and the way he calls games, I think so and I'm looking forward to seeing him get even better.

You know how they mention 'untouchables' when talking trades.
Zunino is 'untouchable' IMO. Only exception would be another starting young catcher in such deal.

In our rare few great years, we have had a strong catcher.:10:

Can we get rid of the lame fan photo crap? especially when we miss plays because they are showing some jackass who took a selfie at the game.
