He always looks intimidated when playing a ranked team. He's straight trash. Hopefully Patterson takes over next year.

OK. I didn't know. I never saw VPI much on the tube this year, but comments about
him earlier on this board had some saying he was a Heisman candidate.

It was a tale of two seasons with Jackson. His first six games were damn good and most were thinking for the WVU game that Grier would be the best qb in that game which was not the case. A redshirt freshman took the spotlight that night.

All that said, most Hokie fans will tell you they are excited for the current freshman red shirting who is a legit dual threat as well as the new guy coming in Patterson (another true dual threat - Ellite 11 QB). Future is bright at QB. Just need size / speed at skill positions.

Edit - This was probably the best possible loss vs. OSU for the Hokies. We controlled tempo and our freshman WRs stepped up. It was pretty amazing to watch Rudolph go to work with the little bit of time that he had last night.

Top 5 defense gets 500 yards against them

That's the difference between a Top 15 vs. Top 60 defense. Yards will be gained vs a team like that with a Mason Rudolph at the helm - bend but don't break scenario. I told a friend yesterday, if our defense holds to 28 or so points I will be happy. So holding a team like Okie Lite to 30 pts works with me. No offense in key situations does not.
