Bracey clearly wants to go to a team who can compete to win the ACC.

Anyway, it is really early but I think it is solid.

We need to do two things very quickly. We need to extend Beamer so people can quit negative recruiting on that issue. We also need to either win some big games or go back to sweeping the ACC.

As far as McDonnell, he is highly recruited actually but his pics on 247 are kind of umm.....young looking.

His film is pretty solid though especially for a sophomore. He is a true WR. Catches with his hands, runs good routes and uses his body well. He has 2 years to mature physically but he is already in the 6'0" 160lb range. He could easily be 6'2" 180 by his senior year if not bigger.

Yes, something to always keep in mind, especially if you're at the games and thinking of booing our own team. Sure, you might be directing your complaints at the coaches or the administration or the football gods, but the kids hear it and, even if they're shrug it off, I know they feel it.

No matter how bad they play, I always hope Hokie Nation remembers that our players are not professionals. They're very talented amateurs, they're still kids and we should be behind them no matter what. They're also our VT brothers, and that should earn them something that professional athletes can never really have - our unconditional support.

I also believe that supporting our own in the toughest of times can speak volumes to the new kids who are looking to join our clan.

I would think that any recruit who was considering VT would have taken notice of the Ohio State win. The ECU loss probably won't mean that much in the long run.

If anything, the ECU loss might help the team be better prepared for other teams. In other words, taking them all pretty seriously. For real.

In spite of all the mistakes, VT was in that one to the end. Well, almost the end.
