Great get. Sounds like Searels was pretty involved in his recruitment, even though Shane was his primary. Makes me think he'll start out at OT, though I could also see him at DT. I don't see him playing DE at VT.

How many early enrolls is that now? I count 5... Austin Clark, Mook Reynolds, DuWayne Johnson, Damien Dozier (still committed? so say the recruiting sites...) and now Nijman.

Miami folks say USF is a factor here, because they are considering his high school coach for one of their open positions.

I think so too. Sure seems like it based on his quotes and actions, but he has had NC State on top for so long. Apparently he and his sister want to go to the same school, and like you said she got the track offer this weekend. A few announcements coming up:

- Mook Reynolds: Thursday at 6 pm between VT, Clemson, and Ole Miss. It appears that a relative of Reynolds' posted good news on TKP. Not too worried.

- Ricky Deberry: Friday at 10 am between VT, Bama, Michigan St, Oklahoma, Tenn, PSU, TAMU, and UVA. Not expecting much here.

- Nyheim Hines: Friday at 3 pm between VT, NC State, Duke, Wake Forest. Love this guys film and we appear to be in the top 2. NC State has been the favorite for a while, but as I explained in a post yesterday there are numerous reasons to think we have a good shot. Still not getting my hopes up too high, and IMO it would just be a bonus to land him.
