Good point 46&2 I remember a VT Grad who got a DIP in the College Park Phase 1 Parking lot right outside of his appartment during Summer Session back in 2003 and he still loves VT.

Where have y'all seen 5'11"? Both Rivals and 247 say 6'2", and I didn't see anything on twitter. Just a typo getting propagated?

ehh...
1) Camera angles can throw things off
2) The way Beamer's standing wouldn't take too much off his height... an inch?
3) I think he looks more like 4 inches taller there, not 1-2. Beamer's only up to his eyebrows, with hair.

Bitter will probably have a post with the newbie's measurables today or tomorrow, so we'll see.

Now on to "Smoke" I always wanted him to come to VT, now it looks like he might not want to commit to UVA I could see him going to WVU, but not VT. Any thoughts?

Wishful thinking

2012 guys here for winter:

Woody Baron 6'1" 260lb
Seth Dooley 6'4" 237lb
Jerome Wright 5'11" 223lb
Per jimmy robertson

Wright could still play MLB at that height, or maybe he can be the athletic fullback Loeffler seems to want.

Did Dooley play any TE in HS? He's probably going to have trouble finding playing time at DE.

Played mostly RB on offense iirc, played MLB on defense. I stated after NSD last year that i dont think he ever plays a down on D for VT.

FTR i seen him 3 times over his jr and sr year.

I dont think a few inches will hurt him to the point he wont get to the field at MLB if he has the instincts. If he has the football IQ, he will find a way to the field. Coming in at 223 is pretty solid for 5'11" too.

What did you see in him?

When you watch a guy who is getting a ride to play D1 play against 1a hs talent (or really hs talent in general) you expect that player to dominate the competition not the other way around. FTR i've watched and or played against at least 30 guys who got rides (prob more) and as much as i dont want to say this, dooley is pretty close to being at the bottom of my list.

Plays timid and soft and is easily driven off his spot. I watched a 160 wingback decleat him last year. Just doesnt seem to play with any kind of motor or want to at all. On offense you would think a RB with his size would be hard to bring down but he was repeatedly arm tackled etc. Honestly i thought he was just having an off night the first time i seen him so i made it a point to focus on him only the next go around and nothing changed.

46 you can delete this or edit if you feel necessary, i tried keeping it nice.
