They made soccer look very intense in that commercial...

Soccer IS very intense. The problem is that it's very intense in specific locations for short durations. The rest of the field for the rest of the time is not the most riveting sports drama. This is true of all sports, but most sports have much smaller fields or the potential for quick increases in pace.

I love playing soccer, but it can be boring to watch sometimes.
