Oh thats right. Also Oregon lost too much on the O line. We may as well just call the season off.

Those 20-1 odds for Oregon look pretty good to me. 6-1 for a team like Bama that's won multiple recent national championships that's coached by one of the greatest coaches of all-time isn't too shabby either. The QB situation is a concern though. Will it be Coker I assume? I guess you could say the same about Oregon and maybe that's why the odds are set accordingly. I will say of all the programs out there that have the capability to win it without an elite QB, Bama and Oregon are two teams that come to mind.

Dont forget Chip Kelly is gone to, right? thats how this works, Chip kelly left and everyone said Oregon was going to come crashing back down.
And they still got skull dragged by a team with their 3rd string QB at the helm. As this is about WINNING the championship 20-1 is probably way too high. They had their best chance at it last year. Stanford has a sr QB, USC is loading back up after the sanctions, and their Heisman QB is gone.

Bama is the team i would be least concerned when it comes to the QB.

In all fairness that Ohio State team was rolling. No one was going to stop that freight train. Look at what they did to end of year #13 Wisconsin who was a 4.5 favorite in that Big 10 championship game, bitched slapped 'em by 59. They were on fire. Everything was clicking and the lines, particularly the offensive line, were dominating.

And none of that changes the validity of the line for this year to win it all. Oregon had it all lined up and rolled over a lot of teams themselves. What was their average margin of victory? They exposed FSU as the frauds they were and went into that game with a lot going in their favor. They had the Heisman winner at the helm.

And still lost.

They aren't going to fall off the face of the earth, but to expect them to get back to that game and actually win it this time given they will have to do so with a first year starting QB when they couldn't get it done with their all time QB stud last year is a bit much. Could they reach the final 4 again? Sure. Possible. Win it? I wouldn't put money on it. Not at 30-1.

You never know. Ohio could lose a couple games and not even make the cfp.

It's cfb.

I think Vernon Adams may come into the Oregon program and do some very big things. He had me wide-eyed when I was watching Eastern Washington play Washington in 2014 and Oregon State the season before that. He's electric and has the chance to be very special this season. We'll see.

Odds, schmodds. Tennessee 14 - 0!
So you are planning on a game being rained out or is the SEC west forfeiting the Championship game?

Oregon is the play if you want to lose money. They had their best team last year and couldnt get it done, still a shot but I wouldnt put money on them.

For better odds, I would go with TCU or Bama. But obviously take the tOSU odds lol

My dad was in Vegas recently and I believe Nebraska's odds were like +10,000 or something like that. I had him put ten bucks on it for me :D

"Oregon had their best team last year" based on what? stats? I am pretty sure they have had better years.
also if you consider the 2015 team their best team, and it happened in 2015 who is to say they cant have a better team in the future?

Considering the amount of money that Alabama spends on its football program, you would expect them to be better than they are.

Might not have been their best team ever, but it was their best chance to win. They beat an undefeated FSU team, didnt have to face a Bama team and got to play a team with a 3rd string QB. It was their best chance to win. They also argueably had their best QB in the history of the program on the team. It will be hard to have a better chance to win and a better team than Oregon did last year.

I don't know. Three national titles in the last six seasons is pretty good.
