Cmon UTES! BEAT SDSU! Can the Utes win on the road this year?

I think they're suppose to be pretty competitive in the pac 12 this year. Viejas arena is typically is very tough place to play at. Damn student section and their Ric flair wooooo's.

People picked them to finish 2nd in the Pac...... I don't know if that means the Pac will be bad this year or if that just means Utah is really good. I like Cal as my sleeper Tyron Wallace has really improved and Jabari Bird is stepping up. :yahoo:

I think the MVP of the Pac 12 is TJ McConnell but the player that will win the player of the year award is Joseph Young, guy will light it up this year.

WSU already 0-2 :L

Well will join you soon WSU unless we are just hiding our potential but I doubt it...........

Watching SDSU vs Utah today was worse than watching paint dry.

SDSU defense is just to nice, but I expected the best defensive backcourt in NCAA to show up on offense they are also solid scorers. Delon Wright is to good to go 2-13........ Utah is a nice defensive team, nice little big 3 with Wright, Taylor, and Loveridge, good depth. They will probably win almost every if not every game they play at home but they dont have enough 3 point shooters to win tough games on the road. When Delon Wright is good hes one of the most efficent all around pgs in the nation he had a stat line last year vs ASU where he was 7-7 22 points 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Hes good he just cant play like this vs ranked teams on the road.

slow start, good finish. This was a bad matchup more than anything, UCI's strengths (protecting the paint/rim and forcing outside shots) are Arizona's weaknesses. They rely so much on feeding the post and kicking out to cutters/shooters, but that matcup zone with the 7'10" dude was hard to pass through. Only RHJ was really doing damage in the half court.

The fact that they didn't score much is not a huge surprise, UCI is a good defensive team.. a VERY good defensive team, but the fact that Arizona didn't defend well at times is more alarming. As soon as they turned up the defensive pressure, they ran away with the game, before that they trailed.

More than anything, it is a great teaching moment for coach Miller. He's been telling these guys for weeks that they just are not playing well as a team and they better pick up the intensity or that #2 ranking will go away fast... and this game perfectly proved that point.

It's a long season, they will improve. On to Maui. They trip will do them some good. It's good to get away from home and have the chance to bond as a team on the beaches... and in the hotels. Looking forward to a great tourney.
