Atleast we aren't the only team who had their ass handed to them. Rays, Nats... misery loves company!
If you take out the game vs NYY where we scored 14 runs, we are averaging less than 3 run a game. Opponents are scoring an average of 4.8 runs a game. That just isnt going to cut it. Ubaldo sucks, but the offense is just as much to blame.
Now to think of it... considering this team's performance so far, it's fortunate that we're only 1 game back relative to last year at the 12-game mark.
I had a feeling it would be a situation like this. I'll stick to my original prediction of TB winning the division and the O's getting a wildcard. Right now though, I don't think it matters who we put out there. It isn't going to matter if Gausman or Bundy or both are pitching lights-out if we can't atleast manufacture some runs.
You were right on Jimenez all along, tedman. I knew his record against the AL East wasn't that good, but this is atrocious. $50M pissed away.
