2014 NFL Draft: All-Rams Mock v. 1.0 - Turf Show Times

I know its early, but I found this mock interesting and thought it was worth some discussion.

Obviously, it doesn't list where they think the Rams are drafting and ultimately we won't know until seasons end.

The one thing that irritates me is the fact that the Rams most likely will be drafting a WR in the 1st round again. That will mean they have essentially drafted a WR in the 1st round 3 years in a row ( Quick was pick #33 which is almost a 1st rounder ).

How many WR's do the Rams need to draft before they finally get it right?

idk ask how long it took Detroit i guess?

idk how i feel about drafting another rookie without a true veteran presence in the locker room, but what do i know, i just watch football.

The Rams would be a bunch of dumbasses drafting another WR when Jake Matthews is sitting there in the first. Yea I know, we have two first rounders. WTH. Select the BPA and for need in the same round and quit effing around with hit-or-miss players when we have enough WRs. We need O-lineman and an excellent RB or two. We need an outside LB and some more safeties. And we may need a D-lineman if Langford bolts.

exactly... not even just Matthews retro.. I would be very ok with Taylor Lewan or the guy from Bama whose name I cannot type or pronounce. If we do have a pick that high, we MUST get one of those OT's. What we do with the 2nd 1st rounder will depend on where it is but I would say CB, S or trade down and get a RB like Seastrunk

Yea I agree KSUDodgers. We have to be way more efficacious and have a freakin' strategy in place that makes sense before we enter the draft and select top of the line guys talentwise like other teams routinely do. We simply can not seem to select the right players at the right time. We seem to get into these effing gyrations that don't make any sense and then we bring in guys that don't address our needs end up getting cut, or go elsewhere and have great careers.

I am going to throw a name out there at RB besides Seastrunk who I think has the pedigree, attitude and physical attributes to be a top flight NFL RB and it would allow us to fill other holes in rounds 1 and 2 (OT, S, WR, maybe even QB)...the players name?? JAMES WILDER JR. He is projected as a late 3rd round guy and he is built JUST like his daddy

Probably can get Wilder later. I'm a Noles fan and I'm telling you the guy we want is Devonte Freeman. 5'9 210 and he can flat run. Will probably run a 4.4 or 4.3. The Noles are loaded. Watch this guy though. He spilts carries with Wilder and some with the 3rd string guy who is a badass too. He won't have unreal numbers so he won't be a hot item.


But I agree with yous that think we need a beast O-lineman with 1 of the top 2 picks. And plenty of RBs in this draft. WR was loaded last year, RBs this year.

If Fisher and Snead don't draft OT maybe even twice, I will head the ship out ward of the Rams fans club. 2 OTs or 1 OT and best OG and best available RB is fine by me.

DeAnthony Thomas is not going in the 2nd round and he's too small. Speed is great but with no power RB, we are screwed. We need a bigger thumper RB along with a speedster. Right now we have neither!

But I really really like Sammy Watkins. Kid is special. Like Julio jones but quicker and faster. I would not be pissed if we got Sammy but we need a beast OT too. I like Sneed in the 4th and QB Price from Washington in the 5th too. This draft is loaded at QB. David Carr out of Fresno St is quietly tearing up bad teams, but he's good. Taj Boyd, and I would even take flier now on Scheelhasse out of Illinois. Whoever we draft at QB he better be able to move out of the pocket.

I'd take Jake Matthews and either a safety or Watkins in the first round. SJ76, I don't watch much college football but I have seen his name in a couple of articles. I think you are spot on with that dude Watkins and I like Devonte Freeman as well.

If we can get Mathews and Sammy Watkins I would be stoked. I don't know a lot about the safeties in college football yet.

We need to draft a top OL and DB in the 1st round, and I would absolutely love it if we got Keith Price in the 5th round.
