In a dynasty H2H category league who is getting the better end of a straight up Tulowitzki for Castellanos deal?

That is difficult.... I don't see Nick castellanos ever being a top 5 3B... and I think he wont be top 10 more often than being top 10... Basically I just don't think his upside is anything special... But he does play 3B- which is actually more shallow than SS right now, AND he is only 24...

then We have Tulo, who is older than 32, cant stay healthy... But he plays for Toronto and when he plays I see him being more valuable for your team...

I guess in a dynasty I would take castellanos in a vacuum.... But I wouldn't be afraid to take the tulo side, I just think he is the better bat when he plays...

Knee jerk reaction is to think the guy getting Tulo.

But there were double digit shortstops with over 20 homers last year. And Tulo is bound to get hurt. Plus no Encarnacion.

Youth could be enough to make a case for Nicky C. Idk.

I voted Tulo, but had to think about it. I am in agreement with Milk. I think Castellanos will be an average 3b over his career. Till definitely gives you more Bat, but at the cost of age, injury, and position.

How many more decent years do you think Tulo has left?

that's never the question... or at least it shouldn't be... the question is about you and your team... are you playing for now?? would this player be starting?? answer about your team before answering about a specific player...

But to answer your question, he is in the AL now, so as long as he has a good bat, he could be pretty good for the next 3 seasons...

Prime is normally 27 to 32/33. So Tulo at 32 is at the high end of prime age, but that is where the injuries can be a plus. Players who have been injured like him in the past have either retired young or been able to go longer because of not playing every day.
