Nothing like a Pinch Hit double from a pitcher to take the lead in the 13th.
Wood's a career .190/.208/.346 (47 OPS+) hitter. For a pitcher, he has a lot of pop.
Not as much pop as the other pitcher named Woods the Cubs had.
Still sucked to watch the Marlins for 13 ininngs and see them lose like that.
Kerry Wood hit 7 home runs, but he was only a career .171/.196/.249 hitter. So Travis actually has better power numbers. Travis has 8 home runs in almost half as many PAs.
It's weird... I remembered Kerry being a better hitter than the stats suggest, though he still had a decent bat for a pitcher
Prior only hit one home run, but he did hit 10 doubles. Prior was a career .201/.231/.265 hitter (29 OPS+). Not too shabby.
