This is a keeper league (7 players) with 5 year contracts. My team sucks and is probably not salvageable for this year. I was offered Makail Franco (2019 contract) for Hanley (expiring contract this year). Is this enough? I am tempted to take it.

No it is not enough... Not even close... You only get 7 keepers, that is not much... I would wait a couple weeks at least on Franco, let his value actual settle down to what he actually is worth...

I put him on the block and this is it so far. So I wait or do I accept. I could ask for D Wright who is on DL as a sweetener, but that is about all I can see. My team is so bad (inherited this year) that Wright could make top 7 keeper if he comes back from DL and plays well.

I would take Franco over Wright.

I think the closer you get to your deadline/playoffs, Hanley can bring back more.

Fairly traditional. C,1B,2B,SS,3B,4 OF,U,8 pitchers

And yes I would ask for Franco & Wright

Not sure if Franco would even be a good keeper in a 12 team league... you have to remember the Phillies don't look like they will compete for anything for at least another 2 seasons, their offense is only going to get worse next season when they go their separate ways from Howard and Utley...

Ok- the deal on the table is Franco and Wright for Hanley and Canha. I think Franco could be real good but he is a Philly. Wright is breaking down but could have a couple more good years in him. Both have multiple year contracts and assuming they play up to expectations , they both make my keeper list. Hanley is in last year contract and Canha is throw in.
I am going back and forth on this one. I could use some opinions.

To answer a couple of your questions
-14 team league
-must keep 7- potential keepers for 2016...Encarnacion, H. Kendrick, L Cain, D Betances, G. Cole
-I inherited this team...Only Encarnacion left from old team to keep so it is an almost complete rebuild.
--very competitive owners

I'm really torn Fuzzy. I get that you have to trade Hanley. I'm curious as to why there aren't more owners interested. You would think Hanley will be a major contributor for a championship run.

no deadline. I feel him getting anxious. He is in first and the only current contender that can really use Hanley as a SS. The others would use him at OF, MI or U.
I could lose him if I stall too long. Trade discussions started a couple of days ago.

P.S. he turned down Carlos Correa and M Franko for Hanley and Canha.
