for some reason hitters score a lot of runs with him behind the plate. I hope that trend doesn't happen tonight.

Not necessarily. Torrealba has actually been really good since the break and has hit pretty well on October too.

Though I don't like Ron's reasoning for it that "its time because he's part of this team". Hopefully he talks to napoli about how he calls Matt's games.

Harry's ERA is 2 runs HIGHER with Torrealba behind the plate. I think that's more coincidence though.

That's my point. I think part of the reason napoli gets so much out of the young guys is he knows their strengths, he finds what is working and combines that with his scouting on each batter and keeps it simple. He told Holland not to shake him off, but to trust him and throw each pitch with 100% confidence. I think torrealba has a tendency to get too much going on and get the pitchers out of their track.

Harrison's stuff is good enough he needs to keep it simple and let him pitch. If he can get his curveball over and has his sinker working Harrison will do great.

I hope that's the reason.

Because our pen looks like it's tired.

Bummed out right now.

Torrealba did exactly what I thought he would. Poor pitch calling and had way too much going on for Harrison. Harrison't bread and butter are three things. Sinker ball, fastball, curveball. He had him throwing cutters and sliders in the second inning for christ's sake. One particular AB that sticks out to me he had Harrison pitch Furcal away 6 straight times. Never bothered to change the hitters eye level. It was obvious Furcal was looking to go the other way from the 3rd pitch on. How was this guy ever so highly touted in the NL? It makes me wonder how much he was a part of Feliz's struggles earlier in the year.

Torrealba should be relegated to pinch hitting and defensive replacements if needed, but should not start behind the plate again in this WS. And Ron is a fucking moron for putting him there because "he's part of this team". What is this? A little league team for God's sake? No, it's the World-Fucking-Series and you put the team out there every game that gives you the best chance to win, end of story.

WOW Go Figure! I was feeling the same thing before the game. When he's behind the plate. I never seen anything like this. Also it seems Torrealba never changes location always trying to make the Pitchers go outside all the time with the Fastball..
