Went with Magee. Looks like that broke a 3-3 tie. I like Magee's 11-year prime of 1905-1915 when he put up a .299/.372/.444/.817, 142 OPS+. Only Cobb, Wagner, Collins, Speaker, and Crawford were better in that time period. He also stole 35 bases a season on average.

Wheat had a bit more longevity with a 13-year prime of 1910-1922. But his slash line wasn't as impressive considering the league OPS was about 24 points higher on average in Wheat's prime compared to Magee's, and Magee's OPS was 23 points higher.

I think we'll see Magee get close to the Hall of Fame in next year's "Pre-Integration" ballot of the Veteran's Committee.

I think Dahlen is a lock to get in. Not sure how many they will pick, but there are some great players from that era that are still out. Wes Ferrell comes to mind. While his overall 4.04 ERA does not look good, his 1929-1936 peak was very good. And don't forget that he was playing mostly in the offensive explosion of the 1930s. Amazingly, 20% of the batters he faced, were Hall of Famers. Then there's the fact that he's the best hitting pitcher of all time.
