Banks wins this one by a CLEAR margin.

Summary
We are talking about SS here. Probably the second most important defensive position on the field. Banks was near-elite defensively WHILE PLAYING SS. Their bats were both VERY elite in their SS years.

I gotta go with Banks because of the defense. The offense was way to close to overcome the CLEAR difference between their defense.

Only if you include Banks time at 1B and Rodriguez's time at 3B...

Their SS years are VERY close offensively, and Banks was clearly the better glove-man.
