Yea jonvi, with the Rice transfer Sean Obi and signee Luke Kennard, the Blue Devils have a decent class coming into the program. Coach K definitely targeted size with these latest recruits. I guess he saw like the rest of us that you just cannot coach size and there has to be a rim protector no matter how many great shooters or athletes you have. But I'm hoping they can land at least one more.

Don't get your hopes up. I'm betting Duke gets to the sweet sixteen this year.

This is great news. Now we just need Kentucky and North Carolina to take other big guys, and we'll wind up with Diamond Stone and/or Henry Ellenson.

Just stating the facts my man. Has nothing to do with UVa. 2 out of the last 3 years Duke has lost in the round of 64, to juggernauts Lehigh and Mercer.

There's no denying they lost those games to Lehigh and Mercer. That should never happen. But it does. I seem to remember a three time ACC Player of the Year- Ralph Sampson led team- losing to Chaminade. You don't dwell on that shit. You just accept it as a bad game and move on.

I think something that has happened twice in the last 3 years is a little more relevant than something that happened once 32 years ago.

Relevant? How so? I don't. Duke Basketball isn't as bad off as you'd like it to be.

Duke has 3 of the last 6 ACC Titles with a National Title in between those seasons.
Or, Duke has 10 of the last 16 ACC Titles with Two National Titles in between those seasons.
Or, you can say Virginia won an ACC Title last season. Their 2nd ACC Title in 38 years.

Or you could say that Duke has not won any ACC titles since they were bounced by Lehigh in the round of 64 3 seasons ago, because none of the players that won the ACCT in 2011 are still on the team, so those tourney titles are not relevant to this discussion. See, I can cherry pick stats too.

I'm not cherry picking stats. Stats are historical stats left to those for pissing contests. The facts are Duke lost a couple of games that they shouldn't have. But they've won a damn bunch more than they've ever lost. I guess you can look at the glass half empty enough and say it can never be worthy of a drink.
