The news was broke in another thread, but I haven't seen a thread dedicated to this. Tony Stewart's career isn't over. He'll be driving the number 14 in the Oral B 500 in Atlanta Sunday evening.

I'll be in attendance to the race, and I'll be pulling for Smoke in this one.

Glad to see him back! I know it won't be easy to race.

It won't be easy, but the pre and post race interviews will be a lot tougher than the race for Smoke IMO. The race will be a 4 hour break from the madness.

Smoke is my second favorite driver, but I'm pulling for him Sunday over Harvick(it will be the first and hopefully only time I have pulled for another driver over Harvick since Harvick's debut).

I don't see the need to dedicate a thread to the return of Tony Stewart.. racing fans knew he would return.. the best remedy for him to get past this is to get back to racing.. and that's what he's doing..

have fun at the race.. looks like you might get some rain.. been there.. done that.. :suds:

How could he not allow Stewart a shot at the chase?

He's still in the top 30 in points and if he wins a race by NASCAR rules, he would qualify for the chase. I didn't even think it needed to be said that Stewart would be eligible for the Chase if he qualifies.

And NASCAR had to night to keep Stewart from racing, Stewart sat out on his own terms. At any rate, it's not Stewart's fault that a 20 year old retard wanted to commit suicide with Stewart's car.

Other than the 'retard' part.... it was pretty stupid. :agree:

If he qualifies, then he qualifies. As long as no special rule is being made for him, don't care at all.
